Sewell is a Philadelphia native, and truly believes “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women are merely players.” She holds a B.A. in Theater from Temple University, and is a proud alumna of Philadelphia’s Freedom Theater and the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts. Believing acting is a gift and a privilege, she gives her all to every project she is apart of. Her recent credits include: The Pastor’s Chambers, Purlie Victorious, The Emergency Room, Zooman and The Sign, and VII Deadly Sins. She is often sought after to write, direct and teach acting/improv workshops for various drama ministries throughout Philadelphia. Her strength lies in getting performers to step outside of their comforts zones to discover new and exciting ways to approach a character. Ernee has been with XPY since 2016 and couldn’t be more pleased with the school and her fellow teachers! Knowing the power which The Arts have to transform lives, she counts it a privilege to be a part of this journey with the students here at XPY as they create characters which are sure to remain with them for a lifetime!
